1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions apply when you use xtint.co.uk, request a quote, contact XTINT, or book vehicle window tinting services with XTINT.
By making a booking or asking XTINT to carry out work, you agree to these terms unless a different written agreement is confirmed by XTINT.
2. Quotes & Bookings
Quotes are based on the information you provide, including vehicle registration, vehicle type, number of windows, film choice, shade, and any extra work required.
- Online, website and chatbot prices are estimates based on a standard installation and are not guaranteed final prices.
- XTINT may inspect the vehicle before confirming the final price.
- The final price may change if the vehicle details are incorrect or if existing tint, adhesive residue, damaged film, contamination, difficult access, unusual glass, previous work or another condition requires additional preparation or labour.
- Removal of existing window tint is not included in the online quoted price unless XTINT has expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.
- Any additional work and associated cost will be explained and agreed with you before that extra work begins.
- A booking is only confirmed when XTINT confirms the appointment time and any required deposit has been paid.
3. Deposits, Payments & Prices
XTINT may request a deposit to secure your booking. Unless otherwise stated:
- The deposit secures your appointment slot and does not guarantee that the estimated service price cannot change after vehicle inspection.
- Deposits may be non-refundable if you cancel late, fail to attend, or the vehicle is not ready for the agreed work.
- The remaining balance, including any additional work agreed with you, is due on completion before the vehicle is released.
- Accepted payment methods will be confirmed by XTINT at booking or completion.
- All prices are subject to correction if there has been an obvious error, if the information supplied was inaccurate, or if the scope or difficulty of the job changes after inspection.
- XTINT will not carry out chargeable additional preparation or tint-removal work without first explaining the reason and agreeing the extra cost with you.
4. Cancellations, Rearrangements & No-Shows
Please contact XTINT as early as possible if you need to cancel or move your appointment.
- XTINT may retain a deposit where a booking is cancelled at short notice, where you do not attend, or where the vehicle is not ready for the work.
- XTINT may rearrange appointments because of illness, emergencies, supplier delays, equipment issues, unsuitable working conditions, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
- If XTINT needs to rearrange, we will try to offer the next suitable appointment.
5. Vehicle Condition & Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is safe, accessible, and suitable for tinting at the appointment time.
- Please remove personal items from areas where work is being carried out.
- Please tell XTINT before your appointment about any existing or previous tint, adhesive residue, damaged film, damaged windows, faulty electrics, loose trims, glass scratches, aftermarket parts, or other known issues.
- XTINT is not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden damage, weakened trims, or defects that become visible during normal preparation or installation.
- Some vehicles may have dust, scratches, contamination, or age-related imperfections that can affect the final finish.
6. Legal Tint Limits & Road Use
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the chosen tint is suitable and legal for their vehicle's intended use. XTINT may provide general guidance, but this does not replace your responsibility to comply with the law.
- UK rules apply to visible light transmission on certain vehicle windows.
- XTINT may refuse to install a film if it believes the request is unsafe, unsuitable, or unlawful.
- If you request show-use, off-road, or non-standard film, you accept responsibility for how the vehicle is used afterwards.
7. Warranty, Curing & Aftercare
Where stated, XTINT may offer a warranty on selected film and installation work. Warranty cover depends on the film type, service supplied, and aftercare being followed.
- Fresh tint can take time to cure. During this period, small water pockets, haze, or a cloudy appearance may be normal.
- Do not open tinted windows, clean the inside of the glass, or interfere with the film until the aftercare period given by XTINT has passed.
- Warranty does not usually cover damage caused by misuse, scratching, cleaning chemicals, stickers, seat belts, pets, children, aftermarket accessories, accident damage, window mechanism faults, or failure to follow aftercare advice.
- If you believe there is an issue, contact XTINT promptly and allow us to inspect the vehicle before any third party alters the work.
8. Liability
XTINT aims to complete all work with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to applicable law, XTINT is not responsible for indirect losses, loss of use, loss of income, loss of opportunity, or issues caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, pre-existing vehicle condition, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.
9. Photos, Reviews & Website Content
XTINT may display examples of completed work on the website, social media, or advertising. We will avoid showing personal information such as faces, addresses, or registration plates where possible, unless permission has been given.
Website content is provided for general information. Images, prices, colours, and tint shades may appear differently depending on lighting, screen settings, vehicle glass, and film type.
You must not copy, reproduce, or reuse XTINT website content, images, branding, or design without permission.
